THOUGHT/QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
    Experience is a hard teacher.
She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.  ~Anon

The Second Object of Kiwanis:  To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.

Kiwanis Education #68:  Kiwanis International’s address on the World Wide Web is www.kiwanis.org. This Web site includes the texts of official Kiwanis documents, extensive information on club administrative and service topics, an on-line Kiwanis supplies catalog, the latest organizational news, and links to clubs, districts, and individual Kiwanians around the world.

THIS WEEK:

Okay, people, pay attention.  Bingo numbers and cards are being distributed.  Hopefully, we will have a large number of winners to place in a pot for an exceptional end of year prize.

Our guest speaker this week was one of our internationally travelled Kiwanians, Carol Lagarde, who spoke to us about the Eliminate Project, presented statistics and gave us good information on how we can “eliminate” the deaths of more children than we can imagine.  If each week, each Kiwanian donates $1 or $2 – we can wipe this out in no time.  Cheaper than a latte, or a big cookie, or a beer, or a burger.  Think about it.  Make sure you have change in your pocket for the Kiwanis meetings or if that’s not your style, bring a check for a larger amount.  Tetanus kills babies!!!  We can eliminate tetanus!!!  WE can directly save babies’ lives!!!

Kudos to Larry Roy and the members of his committee for the outstanding “Dr. Fournet Day” project!  We did good, ya’ll!!

Congrats to Margaret Richard on another outstanding job with the Drexel Tea which was held last Sunday.  We hear great things about this event!!

Evening meeting next week.  So if you are not a morning person, here is your chance to visit with your Kiwanis friends.

Also, next week some of our Kiwanians will venture to Tunica for the District Convention.  If you would like to go, please let Margaret know your wishes.
