THOUGHT/QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow.—Chinese Proverb

The Third Object of Kiwanis:  To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.

Kiwanis Education #68:  Kiwanis International’s address on the World Wide Web is www.kiwanis.org. This Web site includes the texts of official Kiwanis documents, extensive information on club administrative and service topics, an on-line Kiwanis supplies catalog, the latest organizational news, and links to clubs, districts, and individual Kiwanians around the world.

THIS WEEK:
Bon voyage, Natalie!!! Ms. Melba and Mr. Neuman, you must be so proud!! Who would have thought, little Natalie, who grew up in our Kiwanis feet, is now off to Howard University in Washington, D. C. – all grown up and such a lovely and
well-rounded young lady. Nat, we wish you well and the best education in the world. Keep in touch and let us know how things are going in D. C.

The evening meeting was held and the reason I have info on Natalie is because Melba came to share. There was plenty of information shared at the meeting, although I’m not sure exactly how much Kiwanis business was conducted. I think some of the attendees were too excited about the upcoming convention.

And that said, please come back with lots of good information gleaned at the meetings, good information gleaned from our friends in attendance, and good responses to Robert Benoit’s bid for Governor-Elect.

And congratulations to Christine Berard, our newly re-elected, re-installed, recycled Lt. Governor. Thanks, Christine, for your willingness to keep us in line one more year!!

Just a personal note to let you know that Dennis and I will be heading for MD Anderson on Sunday to begin evaluation and
game plan for his cancer. I know all of you are praying and the miracle has already begun because my usually pessimistic husband has a great, positive attitude. That’s great in itself, but the outpouring of love and kindness has been overwhelming. Thank you all.
