THIS WEEK: 

Quite an exciting meeting this week.  Newest member, Doug Melancon, was inducted by Past Lt. Gov. Gerry LeBlanc.  Those who can claim Doug as their recruit are:  Dan and Christine Berard, Carol Lagarde, Jean Potier and Gerry LeBlanc.  Have I missed anyone?  Please let me know.  Congrats and Welcome, Doug!!!!

               Also at the meeting this week, our guest speaker was Craig Wiltz, a retired postal worker of over 40 years with the St. Martinville Post Office.  Craig worked under 3 different postmasters prior to his retirement and saw many changes in our postal system.  Thanks to Larry for having Craig come and give us such an informative presentation.

               You will notice that the Kiwanis Education this week is the breakdown of how your annual dues are distributed.  The St. Martinville Kiwanis share goes into our administrative fund to pay for things such as the expenses of sending out the bulletin each week, the cost of breakfast each week and other miscellaneous items which are strictly for the administration of the club.  All project funds are generated by our Pepper Festival and used for the many projects which we conduct each year.

               Please make note that the board meeting will be held on April 22 this month (which is not the 3rd Thursday of this month). 

               Please look at your calendars to see if you can assist with Every Child A Swimmer this year.  We have jobs for everyone who is willing to come out and help.
